Who am I?

My name is Jackson (they/she)! I'm science educator currently working full-time as floor staff at a STEM-centric museum in NYC. I love the world, I love learning about the world, and I love sharing that with people. If you want to chat more, my email is jbbrogan@proton.me!

What is this?

This is a space for me to host my science writing, which mostly focuses on physics, math, and planetary science. I also have a monthly zine about stargazing in NYC. Putting my work out in the world makes it more real and it motivates me to grow -- I hope you get something out of it too!

Why here?

Blogging on Neocities rather than using a site builder like Wordpress or Squarespace is my way of pushing back against the increasing homogenization and corporatization of the Internet. I want this space to be a host for my writing projects, but also a space that lets my personality shine through, and I think the only way that's possible is for me to build it from scratch! No trackers or ads here, just the good clean web.
